Legendary singer 2baba bags new appointment as Technical Adviser to Benue State Governor

Nigerian legendary singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known has 2baba or 2face, has been appointed a Technical Adviser in his hometown of Benue State.

The music icon was officially appointed the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

The announcement was made known in a video that has gone viral, capturing the moment the Governor commended him for his long-standing commitment to the state and his positive influence across Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.

Over the years, the legendary singer has advocated for peace, youth empowerment, and social development. As such, his appointment is seen as a strategic move to bridge the gap between government and grassroots communities through music, culture, and meaningful outreach.

“Let me thank you very deeply for supporting my administration and preparing me for 2027,” Governor Alia stated.

Praising 2Baba’s legacy, he continued, “And I feel it will not be out of place at all because you are a gùru of entertainment. Once you say 2Face, people start dancing, even without the song. So we are happy you’re here on behalf of the Benue State government and our very good people who want to give you more responsibility plus the ones you have been doing because you can do some more and help us chart a way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain more from your wisdom and advisement as well. So I’m pleased to announce that we will make you a technical advisor to the Governor on entertainment and community outreach.”

Meanwhile, it was reported early this month that Natasha was removed as minority leader for the Peoples Democratic Party at the Edo House of Assembly, and someone else has been reportedly nominated to replace her.

The news left many lovers and supporters of Annie Idibia rejoicing.

In what seems like a response to her haters, Natasha shares a video of herself in her office. In the clip, the granddaughter of Igbinedion, who wore a white top and trousers with a black hat, was captured discussing with an unseen person as she sat comfortably at her office table.
