Mohbad’s management sues his father for defamation of character, demands N200million

The management of late singer, Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba well known as Mohbad has filed a lawsuit against his father, Joseph Aloba over defamation of character.

It was reported some days back that Mohbad’s father had raised questions over his late son’s will, questioning how a 26-year-old could have done a thumb printed will. He expressed disbelief at how his son, who was well educated could do a thumbprinted will, rather than sign it.

Challenging the will, Joseph Aloba stated that he believes the document was doctored and is fake. He also pointed out how a lawyer was present at Mohbad’s house, and not even a doctor when the news of his death broke out.

His son’s management had tackled him as they debunked reports of a will. His management made it known that there is no will, neither is there a thumb printed document, and urged his father and others to refrain from sharing false and misleading statements.

Now, they have sued the clergyman for defamation of character and demanding he withdraw his slanderous statement or risk paying N200 million. In the lawsuit, Mohbad’s management reiterated that no will was presented to his father and that the claims by his father were to draw in public sentiments.

This is coming a week after, Joseph Aloba had made a strong allegation against his son’s wife, Wunmi, and lawyer, Femi Falana.

In an interview with MAX FM, Joseph alleged that his life had been threatened by his daughter-in-law and her lawyers. Crying out for help, he claimed that he didn’t know where to live as Wunmi and Femi Falana were threatening to eliminate him.

Recall that after his son’s death, Joseph Aloba had accused his son’s widow wife, of being unfaithful and even putting sleeping pills in his noodles.

He claimed that Wunmi was sleeping with one of the singer’s signees and revealed the major reason why he doesn’t trust her.
