NACJ Felicitates Christians At Easter

The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists ( NACJ), Oyo State has congratulated the entire Christian community in the state on the occasion of the Easter Celebration which was symbolic of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

In the Association’s Easter message to Christians in Oyo state on Friday by its PRO, Adeola Badru on behalf of the Chairman, Lekan Shobowale, the body called on Christians to forge greater unity irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.

NACJ also urged them to use the Easter period to appreciate God for his kindness and mercy on Nigeria especially Oyo State despite various challenges that have and still confronting the people.

The statement stressed that Easter celebration is an opportunity for Christians to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of love which gives the hope of redemption from condemnation through salvation in Jesus Christ.

He urged Christians to use the occasion to intensify prayers and devotion for God’s intervention on efforts by the people of Nigeria to surmount current challenges in order to evolve a peaceful and progressive nation.

NACJ called on all Nigerians to unite through prayers for national peace and stability and to intensify prayers for peace, enduring stability in the country as well as divine guidance for all levels of leaders in the country.

Shobowale counselled Christians to imbibe the enduring lessons of forgiveness, selflessness and perseverance that the 40 day Lenten, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter preaches.

NACJ wishes all Christians and Nigerians a happy Easter celebration.
