Ogbomoso stakeholders visit, congratulate Deputy Governor urge him to rally more support for Makinde

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdulroheem Bayo Lawal, on Tuesday, assured political stakeholders from Ogbomoso zone of the state that the government of Oyo State will continue to run an all-inclusive government.


The stakeholders, including appointees of Governor Seyi Makinde, local government chairmen and National Assembly candidates from Ogbomoso zone, paid a courtesy visit on the governor in his office at the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.


Barr. Lawal, declared that the government of Governor Makinde would continue to be fair to all zones of the state, adding that stakeholders should rest assured of his (Lawal’s) commitment to fairness, equity and good governance at all times.
The Deputy Governor, who said he could conveniently claim to be an Ogbomoso indigene, expressed happiness over the congratulatory visit paid to his office by critical stakeholders from Ogbomoso zone.


A former Chief of Staff to Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, Dr. Saka Balogun, led the delegation to Barr. Lawal’s office.
The Deputy Governor, in his remarks, appreciated the governor for the opportunity given to him, saying “this visitation shows that the good people of Ogbomoso, which formed major part of my senatorial district, are happy over this opportunity bestowed on us by Governor Seyi Makinde.”


Lawal promised to ensure that all hands will be on deck to complement the efforts of his principal in bringing dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the state.


He added that the visit was first of its kind since he assumed office and that he will never take the support of critical stakeholders from Ogbomoso for granted.
He equally charged them to renew their efforts towards spreading the good works, which the Makinde administration is facilitating in the senatorial district and the entire state by extension.


Dr. Balogun, in his goodwill message, reaffirmed the support of Ogbomoso zone for Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration and also stated that the appointment of Barrister Bayo Lawal as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State is well-deserved.


He noted further that the zone will continue to support the new Deputy Governor, saying “he his our son.”
Speaking further, Dr. Balogun also stated that the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi remains a voice to reckon with in Ogbomoso zone and that the people believe in his leadership style adding that whatever information he conveys is the true reflection of the situation.


Those in attendance include the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ogunwuyi; Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Cooperative, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye; the Executive Chairman, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Prince Dotun Oyelade; the Director-General of Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), Hon. Temi Adibi; former Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Alao-Akala, Alhaji Rasaq Gbadegesin; Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa; PDP candidates for Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire and Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituencies, Olufemi Onireti and Ojo Makanjuola; local government and party chairmen from the zone, among others.
