OLDEST ALAAFIN PALACE SLAVE DIES

The oldest and longest serving domestic staff of the Alaafin of Oyo palace, Morenikeji Lasisi, popularly known as Baba Keji has died.

It is reported that Baba Keji served Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III for 51 years, having served two Alaafins before him.

His age is however yet to be ascertained, as some sources say he was 120 while others claim that he was 137 years old.
