Oyo,Igbo- Ora Community Celebrates 2023 World Twins Festival

The 2023 edition of the World Twins Festival was held on Saturday at the festival arena, Methodist Grammar School Field, Igbo-Ora, Oyo State.

At the event on Saturday were twins of all ages.

Facebook user, Babalola Sunday Emmanuel, in a post shared photos from the event and provided some insights about the yearly event.

Emmanuel’s post partly read, “2023 World Twins Festival in Igbo-Ora, The Home of Twins.

Igbo-Ora is a mystery land of fertility for twins and the world capital of twins.

“Igbo-Ora is a town in Oyo state, Nigeria. It is called the ‘Twin Capital of the World’ because no town or single community anywhere in the world has more twins than this Nigerian town of Igbo Ora. 

“It now hosts ‘World Twins Day’ every year around September/October.”
