Police prosecutes Hon. Alex Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh for as!aulting Bolt driver.

The Nigerian Police Force arraigned a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, in court after he was filmed aS!aulting a Bolt driver Stephen Abuwatseya at his Abuja residence. 

The lawmaker, who is representing Aba North and South federal constituency of Abia State, appeared before an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Kuje today, October 30.

He was prosecuted by the Inspector General of Police’s Special Investigation Unit. 

Ikwechegh pleaded not guilty to the charges of ab*se of office, aS!ault, and thr€/t to life.

The presiding judge, his Worship Abubakar Umar Sai’id, granted Ikwechegh bail in the sum of N500,000.

The case has been adjourned to November 8.
