President Tinubu Vacations in London, to Spend Three Weeks in Europe.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for Europe to begin a three-week annual vacation, with London, United Kingdom, serving as his first destination.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development in an official State House statement released on Sunday.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” the statement read in part. “His first stop will be London, United Kingdom.”

Onanuga further disclosed that the President is expected to return to Nigeria immediately upon the conclusion of his three-week working vacation. His return will see him dive straight into what the presidency describes as a “hectic campaign” leading up to the January 2027 general elections.

The President’s trip comes at a time when domestic political activities are rapidly intensifying across the country. Political parties and various aspirants are aggressively ramping up their machinery and grassroots mobilization ahead of the fast-approaching election season.

The presidency’s official statement, however, did not disclose further specific details regarding the President’s itinerary in London or any other scheduled locations he intends to visit during his European vacation.
