Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has commiserated with the family of the late Chief Imam of Ikolaba Central Mosque, Alhaji Tirimisiyu Akewusola Badmus and the entire Muslim community in Oyo State over his passing.

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli described the death of the respected cleric as a painful loss to the Ummah and the state at large.

He said the late Imam Badmus was a devoted spiritual leader who lived a life of piety, selfless service and commitment to the growth of Islam

“Alhaji Tirimisiyu Akewusola Badmus was a man of deep faith, whose leadership and guidance brought solace and unity to many.

“His sermons and wise counsel inspired countless faithful and his legacy will continue to resonate for generations to come,” Alli said.

The lawmaker prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late cleric, accept his return and grant him eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus.

He also prayed that Allah grants his family, followers and the Muslim community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May his memory remain a source of inspiration to all of us and may his soul rest in perfect peace,” Alli added.
