Senator Alli donates medical equipment to Ibadan PHC

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has donated medical equipment to Omowunmi Primary Healthcare Centre, Orita- Aperin in Ibadan to boost healthcare delivery for residents of the community and beyond.

This is contained in a statement issued by his Media Office and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.

The donated items were received with joy by the Executive Secretary of Oyo State Primary Health Board, Dr. Tunde Olatunji, health workers and residents.

Among the 89 items were motorcycle, generating set, beds and mattresses Fire Extinguisher, Sterilizer, Stethoscope, thermometers and several others.

Alli said that the donation fulfilled part of his electioneering promises aimed at improving the well-being of the people through enhanced, accessible, and efficient healthcare services across his constituency.

The senator said that quality health was a basic right, saying the initiative complements President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal Government efforts in transforming Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) for better service delivery.

He added that his intervention extended beyond healthcare, listing solar-powered streetlights, boreholes, skill acquisition and e-marketing empowerment among projects already executed in the district.

Alli stated that similar gestures would soon be extended to other Primary Healthcare Centres, especially those in the Ibarapa zone of Oyo South Senatorial District.

He appreciated party leaders and members for their steadfast support, describing them as pillars of strength in the pursuit of development and people-centred governance.

Receiving the equipments, Olatunji commended the senator for the thoughtful donation to support primary healthcare service delivery.

Olatunji said the gesture would go a long way in complementing the state government’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable healthcare to all residents.

He urged the management and residents of the community to ensure proper use and maintenance of the donated medical equipment for sustainability and long-term benefit.

Meanwhile, residents lauded the senator for prioritising healthcare and delivering on his campaign promises.
