Sheila Courage, the estranged wife of Davido’s logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, has reacted to his latest comments about their short-lived marriage.
Israel, in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, revisited their breakup while addressing a video of Sheila at a nightclub with friends. He had earlier shared the clip via his Instagram story, stating that people should allow him to move on with his life.
Speaking further, Israel said divorce is not meant to be celebrated, alleging that Sheila was using their separation for self-promotion. He added that her actions confirmed why she walked away from their marriage, while also mocking her for giving marital advice.
In response, Sheila dropped a laughing emoji in the comment section of a blog that reported his remarks.
The couple, who were married for less than a year, went their separate ways over irreconcilable differences and allegations of domestic violence. While Sheila accused Israel of masking his flaws by showering her and her family with gifts, Israel denied claims of abuse, insisting he had only tried to upgrade her.
Their separation has since played out publicly, with Israel previously warning men to steer clear of Sheila and other legally married women. He also appealed to her to formally return his bride price, stressing that their union, conducted under customary law, can only be legally dissolved by a Federal High Court after two years.
