David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has unfollowed his logistics manager, Isreal DMW, on Instagram, after he (Israel) apologized to the Muslim community on his behalf.
News reported earlier that Davido took to his Twitter page last week Friday morning to post a music video in an attempt to promote his music artiste, Logos Olori.
The ‘Jaye Lo’ music video, which featured scenes of some persons praying and dancing in a building which has the semblance of a mosque, was, however, found offensive by some Muslims, who described it as disrespect to their religion.
Davido, however, has since deleted the video on his page after a series of backlash and appeals.
The singer has refused to comment further on the controversies trailing the 45 seconds video clip.
Subsequently, Isreal DMW took to his Instagram page to apologize to Muslims on behalf of Davido, saying that the music was purely for entertainment.
While Davido has kept silent over the issue, Isreal DMW, in the now-deleted post via his verified Instagram stories, wrote: “Let me especially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”(sic)
Despite how some netizens commended Isreal DMW for his action in looking out for Davido, this publication checked their Instagram pages and it showed that the singer has unfollowed his aide.
Isreal, on the other hand, is still following Davido on the video and photo-sharing App.
