South Africa’s Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has secured a preservation order to freeze assets worth about R76.5 million linked to businessman Siyabonga Moses Goodwill Nkosi and associated entities.
The order, granted by the Special Tribunal, targets 17 properties and seven luxury vehicles believed to be connected to alleged corrupt activities under investigation.
Nkosi, who is married to Instagram influencer Leleti Nkosi, is being probed over suspected irregularities linked to procurement processes at Eskom.
According to the SIU, the assets form part of efforts to recover public funds allegedly lost through fraudulent dealings at the Kusile and Matla power stations between 2021 and 2023.
The preservation order effectively prevents the sale or transfer of the assets pending the outcome of the investigation.
