Thief caught disassembling Toyota Yaris for parts in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Monday Julius for stealing a Toyota Yaris car in the Oshodi area of the state.

This was disclosed in the statement posted on X.com on Monday.

According to the statement, the 39-year-old suspect was arrested by officers of the Ilupeju division of the command after investigating the incident of the stolen car.

The suspect was caught disassembling the car to sell in parts. As a result, the vehicle has been recovered.

The statement reads, “Officers of Ilupeju Division while investigating a report about a Toyota Yaris Saloon Car that was removed from where it was parked, arrested one Monday Julius ‘m’ aged 39 at Oshodi.

“The suspect had however begun to disassemble the car to sell in parts as he could not sell it whole. The vehicle has been recovered and investigation is ongoing.”
