Tinubu to establish ranches in Abuja community

Bola Tinubu has stated that his administration will work with rural farmers and livestock owners in Pai community, to establish ranches, and uplift the lives of the people.

Tinubu made she statement on Monday, while inaugurating the newly constructed A2 junction (from Abuja-Lokoja Expressway) to Pai road in the Kwali Area Council in Abuja.

The President appreciated the people of Pai for living their lives quietly while promising to help the people establish the ranches and convert them to a source of prosperity.

Tinubu also noted that his administration will work with the people to convert what was a liability and a cause of conflict into a means of prosperity.

“I just left the commissioning of a great mechanization to come here. And then, looking at what we saw on our way here, we saw opportunity, prosperity, and the need for the establishment of ranches and reasons to uplift the lives of our rural people.

“I thank the traditional rulers and the people of this neighbourhood for living their lives quietly. On my way here, I observed the need for our great farmers and livestock owners to establish the opportunity for grazing. And do what is necessary. We will help you. We will work with you. We will convert what used to be a liability and a source of conflict to a means of prosperity,” he said.

The President also reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, stating, “We will ensure that development is not lopsided, but balanced, inclusive, and targeted at lifting lives.”

“Rural communities such as Pai make an important contribution to Nigeria’s social and economic fabric, especially in food production and local enterprises. But their potential has been hindered by poor road access, isolation, and neglect for far too long. Today, that narrative is changing.

“This project is one of many we are delivering across the country, and we will not stop. We will continue until every Nigerian can feel the touch of meaningful governance.,” Tinubu added.

In his address, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, disclosed that the FCT administration had completed over 150km in road projects, as approved by the President over the last two years.

He also thanked the President for his support, explaining that the total stretch of the road, about 45km in total, will be extended to reach Yangoji before the end of the year.
