The event took place at the Community School adjacent to the late Oba’s Palace and was attended by over 20 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from Oyo and Osun states.

The program aimed to provide support to vulnerable members of the community, including widows and small-scale traders. Items distributed included sewing machines, carpentry tools, cash gifts, and food packages. The immediate past President of the Association of Women Organizations in Nigeria (AWON) and other members were present to show their support.

In her keynote address, Olori Olayinka Balogun, Director of the Unicorn Respite and Rehabilitation Center, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in addressing the needs of the vulnerable. She called on NGOs to collaborate and network in their efforts to eradicate poverty and support those in need.

Dr. Kofo Soyinka and Dr. Olusade Taiwo of CEDAR NGO delivered inspiring speeches, while Olori Funmilayo Balogun was also present to support her colleague.
