Walking the Talk: Hon Akinwole fulfilled 2004 Compensation for the acquired community market structure pact with Oloorisaoko Community

Like GSM, like Akinwole. This is the latest slogan on the lips of everyone within the nooks and crannies of Akinyele Local Government, most importantly the people of Oloorisaoko who expressed their satisfaction towards the Executive Chairman, Akinyele Local Government yesterday.

Hon Akinwole Akinleye, fulfilled the long awaited agreement made between the Local Government and two families of Oloorisaoko Community by giving out Cheque of Four Million Naira ( #4,000,000) to the affected families. The Families had a pact with the Local Government in 2004 and have tirelessly tried all efforts to get what they deserve from the local government but to no avail.

The Executive Chairman in his speech to the representatives of the community and families said the fulfillment of the agreement on the part of the Council is necessary and long overdue. He further stressed that his administration is focused on service delivery and this cheque compensation is part of his commitment to seeing a better society and community engagement.

He however encouraged the community and families involved to fulfilled their own part as the council will give them 2 weeks grace to do the needful.

Speaking on behalf of the Baale of Oloorisaoko, the coordinator of Oloorisaoko Market, appreciated the Executive Chairman for putting smiles on the faces of the community and families who have lost hope as this is unprecedented in the history of the Local Government. For a government who is not up to a Year in office to ensure the fulfillment of an agreement made over 20 years ago shows the kind of character the Embedded in the Executive Chairman. He prayed that Almighty God in his infinite mercies continue to guide the Executive Chairman in all ramifications.

The Two families also expressed their satisfaction towards the Cheque compensation and promised to work within the time frame given to them by the council.

Present at the meeting is the Head of Local Government Administration, Dr ( Mrs) Busari, Director of Administration and General Services, Director of Lands, Director of Accounts and Finance, Information Officer, The Leader of the Akinyele Legislative House,Hon Rafiu Kolawole, The Deputy Leader of the House who is also representing Ward 11 Hon Fakayode Barakat, Community leaders, Family members of affected among others.
