We’ll Continue To Create Conducive System For Health Sector To Thrive In Oyo – Commissioner

Oyo State Government has promised that it will continue to create good system for public and private health sector to deliver quality health services for all and sundry in the State.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Bode Ladipo, who disclosed this at the ‘Tomotiya Initiative Partners’ Coordinating Meeting, held at Ibadan Business School, Ibadan, said the Tomotiya health initiative will enhance maternal and child health care delivery.

He maintained that the government will provide a synergy to link the private health sector with the frame of the state’s organized health system for private facilities to justify the confidence reposed on them by the people.

Dr. Ladipo expressed concern over child delivery done by community birth attendants considering its risk and called for increased effort in changing the narrative.

The meeting provided opportunity for health ministry and its partners to discuss the achievements recorded under Tomotiya program from the past year and also plan for the new year.

The meeting had in attendance, representative of WHO, UNICEF, ARIN, APIN, PMI, SOLINA, SAVE THE CHILDREN, NEST 360 amongst others.
