Yul Edochie Advises Men Against Kneeling to Propose

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has again stirred debate on social media after advising men to avoid kneeling while proposing to their partners.

In a post shared on his social media page, the actor urged men to walk away from any woman who insists on such a gesture, arguing that it diminishes their dignity.

According to him, men should “stand proudly” when proposing, adding that any woman who truly loves her partner would not demand what he described as a demeaning act.

“If she insists you must kneel or she leaves, let her go,” he stated, maintaining that respect should not be compromised in relationships.

Edochie, who has repeatedly shared relationship advice in recent weeks, described kneeling to propose as an unnecessary practice, urging men to maintain confidence and self-worth.

This is not the first time the actor has expressed such views. He had earlier criticised the act, describing it as a foreign culture, while encouraging men to prioritise respect and personal value in their relationships.

The actor has also been vocal on broader relationship issues, frequently advising men to avoid staying in relationships where they feel disrespected, and to prioritise self-respect and emotional well-being.

His comments have continued to generate mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics debating his stance on modern relationship practices.
