Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo State Chapter on Thursday morning embarked on sensitisation campaign to market communities in Ibadan to halt the spread of cholera in the state.
The women Journalists led by the chairperson dressed in crested t-shirt and held posters showing step by step preventive measures against the ravaging disease.
They took their turn to educate the traders on ways to maintain clean environment, good hygiene practice and safe food practice in order to avert the spread of cholera
Chairperson,NAWOJ, Oyo state chapter, Mrs Omolola Alamu whon said the association deemed it fit to lend its voice to curtain the campaign against cholera outbreak in the state called on all and Sundry to take proactive steps against the menace of cholera to reduce the scourge.
