Iyabo Ojo stirs mix reactions as she congratulates MC Oluomo on his new appointment as NURTW president, he reacts

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has extended an olive branch to Lagos to the newly appointed president of NURTW, MC Oluomo.

It was reported on Saturday that MC Oluomo had emerged as the new National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW. During the election on Saturday, MC Oluomo stood as the sole candidate at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat along the Osogbo/Ikirun road, Osun State.

Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo who fell out with MC Oluomo during the general election last year, set aside their beef to rejoice with him on his new achievement. She wished him a long and prosperous tenure filled with good health, happiness, and continued success and prayed that he would excel in all his endeavors.

“Congratulations on your newly elected appointment as the president of Nurtw… I wish you a long and prosperous tenure filled with good health, happiness, and continued success. May you excel in all your endeavors and achieve great heights. Once again, congratulations! @kingmcoluomo”.

Taking to her comment section, MC Oluomo appreciated her for the good wishes. He wrote, “Thanks, sister mi.”

While some praised her, others noted how the actress was fighting to survive.

In March 2023, Iyabo fell out with MC Oluomo over her support for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. MC Oluomo, who rooted for APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was pissed at her support for his choice candidate’s opponent.

Speaking out, Iyabo, in an Instagram live session made it clear that she was never in a relationship with him. Ojo revealed that one of the things that baffled her was when people tried controlling others because of the favor they rendered to them, which she detested. Nevertheless, Iyabo made it known that she still harbored love and respect for him and was open to reconciliation.

On his birthday later that year, Iyabo lavished sweet words on him. Describing him as her dear friend and paddy for life, Iyabo stated that she is obidiently wishing him the best in life.
