Global Afrobeats icon Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has made history by becoming the first African artist to surpass 9 billion streams across all credits on Spotify.

The Nigerian superstar’s remarkable achievement underscores his enduring influence and commercial dominance in the global music scene.Wizkid’s most streamed track remains the 2016 international smash hit “One Dance”, a collaboration with Drake and Kyla, which has amassed an astonishing 3.7 billion streams on Spotify alone.

The song not only ranks among the top 10 most streamed tracks in Spotify history but also holds a Guinness World Record as the first song to surpass 1 billion streams on the platform.As a lead artist, his standout success is the Grammy-nominated “Essence” featuring Tems, which has racked up over 303 million streams.
