Davido Fires Back at Critic Who Said He’s Not Rated in the Music Industry.

Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has clapped back at an X user who claimed he is not respected in the music industry.

The exchange began after a fan expressed concern over Davido’s three-day absence from Twitter, saying he missed the singer’s posts. Davido, who recently tied the knot, responded lightheartedly:
“When you marry, you go understand. Lol.”

However, another user mocked his absence, stating it was the reason he is “never rated” in the industry. Davido swiftly replied, asserting his relevance:
“Me wey dey give industry life.”

This isn’t the first time the award-winning artiste has defended himself online. In July, Davido advised fans that passion drives success, emphasizing that while miracles can happen, hard work remains essential.

The father of six also boasted in a recent interview that despite having “billions of dollars waiting” for him if he chose not to work again, he continues to push himself because of the odds stacked against him.

With several hit albums and sold-out shows to his name, Davido has cemented his place as one of Africa’s biggest music exports. Reflecting on his journey, he once remarked that since his entry into the industry, “nobody don get peace”—a statement that underscores his lasting impact.
