ADEGOKE’S MURDER: COURT DENIES ADEDOYIN, 6 OTHERS BAIL

An Osun State High Court has declined bail applications brought before it by owner of Hilton Hotel and Resort Ile Ife, Dr Rahman Adedoyin as well as six of his hotel workers over the murder of OAU postgraduate student, Timothy Adegoke.

Justice Adepele Ojo who is also the Chief Judge of Osun state gave the ruling on Monday morning and said the defendant’s medical conditions are not too serious to be attended to by the correctional service.

She added that the defendants have failed to prove that the correctional service did not have adequate facilities to take care of their medical issues.

The Osun Chief Judge noted that the nature of the offences preferred against the defendants, demands that the court be cautious in granting such bail applications.

Hearing is set to commence for the case soon, as families and sympathizers are in the courtroom for the sitting to begin.
