Akinyele Chairman, NSCDC Commander Move to Enhance Grassroots Security.

In a move aimed at deepening security collaboration at the grassroots, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Area B Commander, ACC Oluwole Olusegun Ebenezer, on Tuesday, 10th February, 2026, paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye. The visit took place at the Executive Chairman’s office within the Akinyele Local Government Secretariat and marked a significant step toward reinforcing institutional partnership for public safety.

The visit provided an opportunity for both leaders to engage on strategic security issues affecting the Local Government. Hon. Akinwole Akinleye warmly received the Area Commander and his team, commending the NSCDC for its consistent efforts in safeguarding lives and property across Akinyele Local Government Area. He described the Corps as a critical stakeholder in community security and appreciated their proactive presence within the area.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to safety and stability, Akinyele Council Boss, Hon Akinwole Akinleye assured ACC Ebenezer of the Local Government’s unwavering support. He pledged to strengthen collaboration and ensure seamless synergy with the NSCDC and other sister security agencies. Special emphasis was placed on tackling the prevailing insecurity challenges around the Akinyele Pepper Market, with the Chairman stressing the need for coordinated action to guarantee peace, orderliness, and the protection of traders and residents in the market and its environs.

In his response, ACC Oluwole Olusegun Ebenezer expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to sustained collaboration with the Local Government and other security agencies, pledging that the Corps would continue to play its role in ensuring that Akinyele Local Government and its environs remain safe, peaceful, and secure for all residents.
