Akinyele LG Chairman Distributes Electric Motorcycles, Praises Makinde’s People-Centred Governance.

In a deliberate move to deepen grassroots mobilization and reward unwavering party loyalty, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, on Wednesday, distributed electric motorcycles to the ward chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the council area. The initiative is aimed at boosting operational effectiveness and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.

The presentation ceremony, held at the Akinyele Local Government Secretariat, Moniya reflected the administration’s strong commitment to improving the welfare and performance of party leaders at the Grassroot level. It also served as a demonstration of the council’s resolve to support those who play vital roles in coordinating political activities and engaging communities.

Speaking at the event, The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon.Akinwole  Akinleye reaffirmed the PDP’s dedication to the well being of its members and leadership. He noted that the empowerment aligns with the visionary leadership of His Principal, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, whose administration has consistently emphasized good governance, recognition of hard work, and the provision of necessary support systems to sustain effective party operations.

He explained that the Electric motorcycles are not just tokens of appreciation but practical tools to enhance mobility and productivity among ward chairmen. According to him, the gesture further positions the Party in Akinyele Local Government and Beyond  for future electoral success by ensuring that grassroots leaders are well-equipped to deliver on their responsibilities. “With improved mobility, our ward leaders can function more efficiently, helping to keep our party united, active, and prepared for greater achievements ahead,” he stated.

The Akinyele Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon Abdullateef Salawu Babatunde (BABA ALAJA) while saluting the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde charged the Ward Chairmen to make use of the initiative effectively and efficiently. He Lauded The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye for continuously replicating the good works of the Executive Governor in Akinyele LG. He also used the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment and Loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government and the Leadership of the party in it’s Entirety within the state.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, The Akinyele Local Government PDP chairman of Ward Chairmen , Mr Ajani Jelili (Pele Bishop) expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye and the state leadership of the party, describing the initiative as impactful and timely. He noted that the Electric Motorcycles would ease movement challenges, boost morale, and enhance their capacity to manage party affairs effectively.

The event was graced by key party stakeholders and leaders, Political Appointees, Party Members and well wishers further underscoring the unity and shared vision within the PDP, while reinforcing the Gov Makinde-led administration’s ongoing commitment to grassroots empowerment and party cohesion across Oyo State.
