Celebrate the essence of Prophet Mohammad’s birth, Adeleke urges Muslims

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated Muslims in the state on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.

Adeleke urged them to embrace the essence of the birth of the Holy Prophet.

His congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Monday.

The governor reminded the Muslims to take cognizance of the noble example of peace and hope that the Holy Prophet reflects.

Emphasizing strict adherence to the message of compassion and kindness that the life and teaching of Prophet Muhammad embodied, Adeleke noted that his government remains committed to initiatives and interventions that would lessen the current pains and ensure a better future.

“Prophet Muhammad was a blessing of our Allah to mankind as he not only lightened our journey on Earth but also served as an assurance of a better place in the afterlife. As we celebrate the blessing that his birth serves on humanity, I urge us all to embrace his draw from his timeless wisdom in building a just and harmonious society.

“As much as we celebrate the significance of this day, we must not let the message of peace and unity, which is the hallmark of Prophet Muhammad’s life, be lost on us, and we strive to embrace the principles of love and kindness that the Holy Prophet embodied,” Adeleke was quoted.

He prayed that the occasion would bring peace, blessings and a renewed commitment to strengthen the bond between Osun and Nigeria, while reiterating the commitment of his government to religious harmony, to foster enduring peace and stability in the state.
