CENSUS: Oyo State NPC Visits Akinyele Council Boss, seeks collaboration for forthcoming National Census.

The Oyo state National Population Commission led by its Director, Mr Adebayo Olayide Ajani, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye in his office at Akinyele Local Government secretariat, Moniya Ibadan.

While Introducing the Oyo state NPC Delegates, The Comptroller, Akinyele LG NPC, Mr Adebayo Ismail Bolaji expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman for always providing a positive atmosphere for his commission to thrive. He appreciated the executive chairman for running an open door policy that has contributed greatly towards the success achieved by his team. He stated that the purpose of the Oyo state NPC Visitation to the local government was to discuss about the forthcoming National Census.

In his words, the Oyo state NPC Director, Mr Adebayo Olayide Ajani Stated that the forthcoming National census was not just a routine task; it was a monumental event that would shape the future of our dear Nation.

“Counting every person is not just a task; it’s a responsibility. The data we gather will influence resource allocation and development projects for years to come. We must work together to ensure that no one is left out. Many people may have concerns about privacy or the purpose of the census. It’s our job to reassure them and make this process as smooth as possible.”

The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye, appreciated the Oyo state NPC director and his team for the visit and assured them that he will continue to collaborate with necessary stakeholders to ensure a safer and sustainable environment for his people. He expressed his readiness to work hand in hand with the National Population Commission to ensure a smooth and effective National Census.

The visit of the Oyo State NPC Director and his team was more than just a preparation for the National Census; it was a reminder of the power of unity and the impact of each individual’s voice in shaping the future. The spirit of cooperation with the Local Government which is the closest to the people is very important to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Present at the office to receive the Oyo state National Population Commission team include the Akinyele Local Government HLGA, Dr(Mrs) Busari, The Director of Administrative and General Services DAGS, Alh. Ladele, The Director of Education and Social Services DESS, Mr Durosharo amongst others.
