Davido makes promise to father as he marks birthday

To celebrate his father’s birthday, the Afrobeat singer, via his Instagram page shared two photos of his father with a heartfelt note. Davido described his father as an Angel in human form and appreciated him for everything.

Affirming his love for him, Davido promised to continue to make him proud.

“Happy birthday, Daddy. An Angel in human form. Thank you for everything, sir. I love you! And I’ll continue to make you proud”.

Davido is undoubtedly very fond of his father.

Late last year, Davido applauded his father as he set out to build a new power plant in Nigeria. The singer expressed pride in his father as he called him ‘His Hero’.

Back in 2023, Davido had recounted how his father once used his power to hinder his progress in the music industry because he wanted him to graduate first before pursuing his career ambition.

His cousin, B-Red had also narrated how he sold 20TVs from the singer’s father’s house to raise money. He narrated how Don Jazzy had offered to help them with a condition, which led them to sell out Davido’s father’s Televisions in a desperate attempt to raise money.

In 2022, Davido had penned a heartfelt note to his father, recounting his impact on his life. He credited him for teaching him humility, hard work, and life principles, attesting that his father was the one who taught him that wealth shouldn’t change one’s personality.
