EFCC Nabs 12 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, has arrested 12 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Lekki, Lagos State.

According to a statement released by the Commission, the suspects were apprehended on Thursday, July 31, 2025, during a sting operation conducted along Spar Road, Salem Bus Stop in Lekki, following actionable intelligence on their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud

The suspects have been identified as Jinadu Hammed, Phillip Gift, Ikemefuna Enekwechi, Daniel Edu, Ponmile Salami, David Uche Akpuru, Abdurahman Oroan, Eyiaromi Daniel, Sodipo Shinaayo, Confidence Henry Ifechukwudi, Samuel Afuap, and Eko Sylvanus.

The Commission stated that investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of the probe.
