As part of his administration focal points, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye yesterday took a proactive approach in curbing food insecurity ravaging the nation as he visited Eleepo community which would serve as the center of agriculture for the Local and State Government.
The historic visitation which was facilitated by Eleepo Elite Farmers is centered on the need to collaborate with the Local Government on agriculture. Speaking on behalf of the Elite Farmers, Mr Ibrahim acknowledged the tenacity of Hon Akinwole’s Led Administration, he affirmed the accessibility of Hon Akinwole which made it possible for the community to partner their lands with the local government for the purpose of agriculture.
Hon Akinwole in his address to the community, congratulated them for making history with his administration and also ready to expose Eleepo community to the entire world because through agriculture, Eleepo community would experience first hand development.
“Our administration is centered on ensuring that food insecurity is resolved through aggressive efforts towards developing and investing in agriculture, and with the readiness of Eleepo community to partner with their lands for the purpose of agriculture, I can authoritatively say that Akinyele Local Government would become the hub for food production to the entire state at large” Hon Akinleye emphasized.
“Akinyele Local Government is majorly dependent on an Agrarian Economy and this is a major boost. Our Principal, the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde has directed us to ensure sustainable food production which the State Government are fully ready to support us. Be rest assured that this step will leave a positive impact and future generations will be proud of it. We can assure you that we will not relent until we take Akinyele Local Government to the peak where it belongs “.
