Hijrah 1447: Senator Alli felicitates Muslims, seeks unity and Renewal

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC–Oyo South) has congratulated Muslims nationwide, particularly Oyo State on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447 AH.

This is contained in a statement issued by his Media Office and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli described the occasion as a time for deep reflection, spiritual renewal and renewed commitment to the values of peace, justice, and communal progress.

The lawmaker urged Muslims to draw lessons from the historic migration (Hijrah) of the Prophet Muhammad from Makkah to Madinah.

He said that Hijrah symbolises courage, sacrifice, perseverance and unwavering faith in Allah.

Senator Alli called on Muslims to use the occasion to rededicate themselves to nation-building by promoting love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence in their communities.

The lawmaker noted that Nigeria was going through critical challenges, calling for prayers and collective efforts toward unity, peace, and sustainable development.

He reaffirmed his commitment to policies and initiatives that would improve the living conditions his Senatorial District, Oyo State and Nigeria.

Senator Alli pledged to continue advocating for better education, healthcare, infrastructure and economic opportunities for all, especially the vulnerable.

The lawmaker prayed that Allah would grant Nigeria a year filled with peace, progress and prosperity.

He wished all Muslims a spiritually fulfilling new year, urging them to remain steadfast in faith and hopeful for a brighter future.
