“I Am a Free Spirit with a Pure Heart” – Angela Okorie Opens Up on Misconceptions About Her Personality

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has addressed some lingering misconceptions about her character, revealing a more personal side of herself in a heartfelt Instagram post.

The actress, known for her outspokenness and bold persona, described herself as a “free spirit with a pure heart”, stating that she bears no grudges and forgives easily. She emphasized the importance of living life fully—embracing love, laughter, and forgiveness as core values.

“One thing you must know about me: I am a free spirit, and my heart is pure toward everyone,” she wrote. “I forgive easily and don’t hold grudges, no matter what.”

Angela explained that although people often assume she is confrontational, she prefers to clear misunderstandings quickly and move on. Recalling a recent encounter, she said a woman once asked how she deals with the hate directed at her online.

“I told her I forgive people even before they offend me,” she shared. “Sometimes I shout or react for just five minutes to release my emotions, but once the person apologizes, I forgive and forget. Life is too short to hold grudges.”

The actress also expressed gratitude to her global fan base, especially supporters of her song “Legit”, which she said continues to receive love worldwide.

“Legitfans all over the world have shown me so much love. Thank you a billion times. Keep streaming on AngelaOkorieTV. Anticipate ‘Queen of Guns,’” she added.

In the same post, Angela encouraged her fans to avoid envy and hatred, warning that harboring negativity can be destructive.

“No reason to hate me. Life can bring anyone down if you allow hate or envy in. I choose to live my life legally, joyfully, and intentionally.”

This message comes just a month after Okorie urged bloggers to stop taking unflattering photos of her with poor-quality phones. She claimed she often looks better in person and even “in broken mirrors.”

Angela has also consistently used her platform to advocate kindness, previously advising her followers not to regret being good to the wrong people. According to her, being kind reflects one’s true character, while others’ behavior simply reflects theirs.
