I’m obsessed with taking pictures of my daughter” – Toke Makinwa gushes over newborn

Nigerian media personality and first-time mum, Toke Makinwa, has expressed the overwhelming joy of motherhood as she shares tender moments with her baby girl.

The proud new mum, who welcomed her daughter in August, revealed on Instagram that she has been completely captivated by her little one, whom she fondly calls the greatest gift of her life. Toke disclosed that she is “obsessed” with her daughter and cannot stop taking pictures of her.

“Whelp! My mum is obsessed. She keeps taking pictures of me. Signing out of August with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you, August, for bringing me the best gift ever. I’m somebody’s mommy,” she wrote in a playful note from her baby’s perspective.

Toke also reflected on how her daughter has transformed her life, saying the newborn healed the brokenness she had carried since childhood. She described being mesmerized by her baby’s “big ol’ eyes,” revealing she had already given her a first manicure while imagining future spa dates and moments together. She added that she looks forward to introducing her daughter to her faith.

Earlier in August, Toke announced her pregnancy on social media, sharing a video of her baby bump and later confirming she was expecting a girl. She became emotional on her podcast, recounting how she had prayed to God to become a mother by 40, and just a month after her birthday, her prayers were answered.

In a past interview with Marie Claire, the former OAP admitted that she had spent months living in fear, hesitant to share her joy publicly, until she reminded herself that God’s blessings bring joy without sorrow

Her daughter, named Yakira Eliana Olakitan Iyanuoluwa Ikeoluwa Adunola, has since become the center of her world.
