INTERNATIONAL WIDOWS’ DAY: Akinyele Chairperson Appreciates Oyo Firstlady on Widows Empowerment.

The Akinyele Local Government Chairperson, Hon(Mrs) Funmilola Akinleye has appreciated Oyo Firstlady, Mrs Tamunomini Olufunke Makinde on the Empowerment program for Widows to commemorate the Celebration of The International Widows’ Day.

The Akinyele Chairperson In a statement made available to the public expressed in-depth gratitude to the Oyo state Firstlady for been a role model to everyone and also for giving a sense of belonging to the Widows.

“ I am indeed grateful to our Firstlady and a model to all of us, Mrs Tamunomini Olufunke Makinde on the Empowerment program organized to commemorate the International Widows’ Day. This Initiative has further given us a wider scope and belief that every woman matters in the development of our Nation”.

“ Celebrating this International Widows’ day in such a grand style is a sign that All women regardless of our class are important in Nation building. This also shows that Widows are not neglected in the scheme of things”.

Hon(Mrs) Funmilola Akinleye Encouraged the beneficiaries to always be Good patriots and also extend the goodwill to everyone around them.

Beneficiaries of the Empowerment program who are Widows were selected from each local government across the state.
