Desola Afod, the wife of Nollywood actor and movie producer, Kunle Afod has opened up on life as a celebrity wife.
The movie star, during her husband’s 50th birthday over the weekend, admitted that her marriage to him hasn’t been easy.
According to her, marrying a celebrity especially one who is in Theater isn’t easy for anyone, if they are honest.
However, she has vowed to never divorce her husband and the father of her kids and to endure whatever comes her way.
She appreciated him for allowing her to be herself, tolerating her, and loving her with her flaws.
“My marriage to Kunle Afod hasn’t been easy. Marrying someone in Theaters, except you are lying isn’t easy. But I had vowed never to divorce him and would endure whatever comes in it. There is something people don’t know about my husband, he doesn’t like Wahala.
Afod allowed me to be me, a man who allows his woman to do what she likes is a real man. Thank you for all you do for me, for tolerating me, for allowing me to be me. I love you so much”.
While celebrating his birthday, Desola Afod penned a note to him, praising him for tolerating her over the years.
Gushing over how 50 looks good on him, she affirmed her love for him along with powerful words of prayers.
Last year, the couple’s marriage was rocked with several cheating allegations and was almost at the edge of rock.
His wife, Desola Afod had hinted at marital trouble as she shared several cryptic posts.
In one of the posts, Desola stated that manipulation is when you are being blamed for your reaction to their disrespect.
In another, she dished out advice on how to be good enough to forgive someone. However, one shouldn’t be stup!d enough to trust them again.
Also, controversial blogger, Gistlover had described Kunle as a public toilet who was fond of sleeping with his film school students, which Desola is fully aware of.
Gistlover slammed Desola for shielding and covering her husband’s numerous affairs.
The blogger also spilled on how Desola snatched Kunle Afod from her friend at a birthday party.
However, Desola Afod debunked the rumors with a loved-up video of him and Kunle Afod also called for prayers for his marriage.
