Nkechi Blessing Fires Back at Trolls: “I’m Human, Not Just a Celebrity.

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has called out a social media troll who attempted to shame her over marriage.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress questioned why people feel entitled to attack her personal life simply because she is in the public eye. She expressed frustration over being targeted with age-related and marriage-related insults.

“Is it okay for someone to come at you unprovoked? Marriage shame you, child shame you. Just like that? Because you are a so-called celebrity? I’ve always said this — I’m not a celebrity. I am human just like you,” she said.

Nkechi revealed that she confronted the troll in a private message, stressing that she will always respond to negativity directed at her.

“You give me, I give you, then everybody go dey okay. Then you now run kitikiti–katakata, crying over just one line. But you, you wrote plenty. Like I said, I’m not a celebrity. You bring rubbish to me, I give you rubbish back,” she added.

This comes months after the actress confirmed the end of her relationship with boyfriend Eseoghene Obire, popularly known as Xxssive. The pair began dating in 2021, following her split from Ekiti politician Opeyemi Falegan.

Speaking recently on her podcast, the actress also disclosed that she has never dated a man more financially stable than herself, adding that she has often “dated down” but would no longer do so.
