Nollywood box office smasher Funke Akindele has announced her new marriage on social media.

A few hours ago, Funke Akindele shared an Instagram post clearly stating that she was getting married. The post shocked her fans, but the caption that accompanied the announcement later confirmed that it was a joke.

The mother of two was trying to play an April Fool’s prank on her fans, friends, and colleagues.

Despite the fact that the post was meant to entertain and cheer everyone into the new month of April, her comment section is filled with people volunteering for different positions to take during the wedding.

Eniola Badmus, Adaku, Juliana Olayode, Funsho Adeolu, and Damilola Oni, among many others, have taken over the preparation. Despite the fun, others wish it would be true.

Recall that Funke Akindele stirred reactions online when she spoke about getting married in early February.

She shared a hilarious video of herself dressed in one of her movie-content outfits. The actress, who recently returned from Ghana to promote her film, sought the advice of her fans.

The mother of two asked if she should remain in Ghana and give marriage a chance. The hilarious post received positive and funny comments from people.
