Oyelade’s death, a great loss to Ibadan- Alli

Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC- Oyo South) has described the death of Ibadan Senior Chief and Babasale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Alhaji Lateef Oyelade as great loss to Ibadan.

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Friday.

Alhaji Lateef Adedoyin Oyelade died in the early hours of Friday, is a renown businessman and Ekefa-Olubadan of Ibadanland. 

Alli, the Senate Committee Chairman on INEC, expressed heartfelt condolences to the late Oyelade’s family, praying that Almighty Allah strengthen and comfort them at this difficult time.

He sympathised with the family as well as friends of the late Oyelade, whose death he described as a great shock to the people of Ibadan and beyond.

“We join the people of Ibadan in mourning the loss of a remarkable leader, and we offer our sincere condolences to his family and the Muslim community of Ibadan,” he said. 

Alli, who is also the Maye-Balogun of Ibadanland, said that the late Oyelade’s contributions to the development of Ibadan and philanthropy would be sorely missed.

The described the late Oyelade as a man who lived a life dedicated to serving his community and upholding his Islamic faith.

“I am aware of the profound impact that the late Alhaji Lateef Oyelade has had on the lives of many people, particularly the less privileged in the society,” he said 

Alli expressed hope that the good work the late Oyelade started would be sustained and his legacy will continue to thrive. 

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Muslim community of Ibadan, who have lost a great leader and supporter.

“We pray that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaos. 

“May the Almighty Allah also provide comfort and solace to his family as well as friends at this difficult time,” he said.
