Oyo:NYSC State Coordinator Makes Case For Corps Members Welfare

The NYSC State Coordinator in Oyo state, Mr Abel Odoba, has implored corps members to add value to their certificate by embarking on acquiring more skills for self-development.

He charged the Local Government Authorities to seize the opportunity provided by the scheme through the Community Development Programme by sponsoring projects identified by corps members so that host communities could derive maximum benefits from what they have to offer. Seyi Makinde has charged employers of corps members in the state to support them to contribute to the nation building.

On his part, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde noted that the corps members were full of ideas and talents which the nation needed to upturn its woe, hence the role of corps employers to mentor and guide them positively.

Speaking at the closing parade of Batch A stream one corps members at the NYSC Permanent orientation camp, Iseyin, the governor, represented by Commissioner for youth and sports, Wosilat Adegoke, encouraged Corps members to be law abiding, diligent, and dedicated in the discharge of their Duties.

The corps members who had undergone three weeks camp training were posted to different places of primary assignment across the 33 local government areas of the state.
