Mix reactions have trailed music star Davido’s dragging of his first babymama, Sophia Momodu to court over the custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
It was reported hours ago that Davido, is seeking joint custody of the daughter, as Sophia has been denying access to her and extorting money from him.
He narrated that though he had a relationship with Momodu that led to the birth of their child on May 14, 2015, the relationship had ended some years ago, while they resolved to take care of their child as biological father and mother. Davido revealed that he has been responsible for the payment of Imade’s school fees since her birth and had purchased a N200m worth of apartment at Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos for Sophia which she rejected. She rather chose to live in a rented apartment and demanded he pays N5million annually for the facility.
He had also bought a Range Rover Sport Utility vehicle for the use of Imade and Sophia to meet their transport needs, yet all his efforts were futile as Sophia was still making enormous demands from him.
As expected, social media users are reacting to the lawsuit with majority defending Davido, while others pitched tent with Sophia Momodu.

Recall that since Davido moved on from Sophia, with his now wife, Chioma, the two have been at war with Sophia accusing him of financially abusing her and calling him a deadbeat father.
The drama between them led to a fallout between Davido and his colleague and friend, Tiwa Sav@ge, as her baby daddy, Tee Billz dragged Davido for disrespecting them and accused him of being a deadbeat father and vindicated Sophia. Tiwa had even slammed Davido with a Threat to Life letter, alleging that on several occasions, he had bullied her. Sophia had also slammed him with a cease and desist letter, detailing an incident of online bullying and harassment.
In January, in the heat of their co-parenting drama, Blogger, Cutie Juls exposed Sophia Momodu and her ridiculous demands and rules for Davido. The blog claimed Sophia was demanding $800 as a salary for Imade’s nanny, which should be paid through her lawyers and must be a 2-year arrears and all communication should be through her lawyers and from there she can allow visitation rights to avoid negative narrations.
