South-West APC Leaders backs Alli, preaches unity ahead of 2027 Polls

The South-West leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday reaffirmed its support for the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli, during a solidarity and courtesy visit held in Ibadan.

The zonal executives, led by the Acting South-West Zonal Chairman of the party, Mr. Lateef Ibirogba, pledged their total commitment to ensuring victory for the APC in Oyo State during the 2027 general election.

Speaking during the visit, Ibirogba described Senator Alli as a credible, experienced and widely accepted leader with the capacity to reposition Oyo State and return it to the path of sustainable growth, unity and development.

He said the South-West leadership of the party was fully behind the governorship candidate and would work tirelessly with stakeholders across the state to ensure the APC emerged victorious in the next election.

Ibirogba stressed the need for unity among party leaders, members and aspirants, noting that only a united APC could successfully reclaim power in Oyo State.

According to him, the zonal leadership had also visited other governorship aspirants in the state to appeal to them to close ranks, embrace reconciliation and work together in the overall interest of the party.

“We are in Oyo State to strengthen unity within the APC family and to ensure that every stakeholder works together for the success of the party in 2027.

“Our mission is to foster reconciliation, encourage cooperation and mobilise support for our candidate so that APC can return to government in Oyo State,” he said.

Responding, Senator Alli expressed appreciation to the South-West leadership of the party for the visit, support and encouragement.

The APC governorship candidate assured the leaders that he would continue to promote inclusiveness, consultation and unity within the party.

He said that victory for the APC in 2027 would require collective sacrifice, genuine reconciliation and commitment from all members.

Alli reaffirmed his readiness to provide responsible leadership and deliver good governance that would improve the welfare of the people and accelerate development across Oyo State.
