Veteran Nigerian actor Janmole d#es in auto crash

The Nigerian film industry has been plunged into mourning following the sudden demise of veteran actor, filmmaker, and comedian, Okiki Adesina, popularly known as Janmole.

The entertainer tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident on Monday, June 1, 2026, delivering yet another devastating blow to the country’s creative industry.

His passing was officially confirmed on Tuesday, June 2, by veteran filmmaker and National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, widely known as Mr. Latin.

Announcing the tragic incident via his Instagram page, Mr. Latin paid a glowing tribute to the late actor, while offering prayers for fortitude for the grieving family and the entertainment community.

“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace. May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen,” he wrote.
