Zack Orji’s wife, Ngozi denies seeking financial assistance for her husband

Actress, Ngozi Orji has denied soliciting financial assistance from the public for her husband, ailing Nollywood actor, Zack Orji.

Earlier reports suggested that she sought financial support when the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, paid her husband an official visit at the hospital.

Ngozi, however, dismissed the report during a chat with TheCable, emphasising that she never made any such appeal.

She said; “Really? For where na? Who did I tell that one? I don’t remember granting such an interview to anybody. It is well. Please, I never said anything.”

Meanwhile, this comes as Veteran Nollywood actor, and member of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Saidi Balogun says the ruling party will not abandon Zack Orji.

The Yoruba movie star stated that the APC-led Nigerian government was doing all it could to make sure that Orji, a supporter of the party, got back on his feet.

Saidi, who is also the assistant spokesperson of the Performing and Creative Art Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, made the revelation in an interview.

He said; “We are doing what we can. The authorities concerned were there and they did not abandon him, they rose up to the occasion. Before we can even stretch our hands, they (party) are stretching all their body to make sure he is okay.

“They will do the needful, because whatever we do, people are watching us. They are up to the task. If not, we would have heard a cry from the actor.”
