Photostory:Peter Obi, Obasanjo Storm Akwa Ibom for Late Prelate Mbang’s Funeral.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, have arrived Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to attend the burial of the late Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Sunday Mbang.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the two leaders were received at the airport by former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel.

In a social media post, Emmanuel said Obasanjo was in excellent health and that he was happy that he was able to come down to pay his last respects to his friend, the late Prelate Mbang.

Obasanjo and Obi are expected to attend the funeral service for the late Prelate Mbang, which will be held at the Methodist Church Cathedral, 45 Liverpool Road, Eket, today.

Mbang served as President of the World Methodist Council and National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
