Popular On-Air Personality (OAP) and Yoruba Sportscaster, Babatunde Saheed famously known as Mr Sport has announced his resignation from Fresh FM in a tweet over the weekend saying he was thankful to Dr. Yinka Ayefele for giving him an opportunity of serving in his station for eleven years.
The Communication specialist and media entrepreneur however disclosed that he will be joining Success FM 105.3 owned by Dr. Tope Odetayo from the beginning of 2024, expressing an excitement about his new assignment.
Mr Sport who always has that charm, with his cheerful mien that made it easier to connect with fans while he’s always on the radio, from his early days in BCOS the Oluyole FM where he spent almost 10 years reporting sports, endeared many with his wit.
Therefore, when he took to his social media handle over the weekend to announce her departure from Fresh FM radio, many hearts were broken. The comments section of the lengthy Instagram posts was filled with accolades and memories.
“I’m very excited and looking forward to working with the amazing team we’ve put together over the last few weeks. I’m very grateful for the love and support of my friends and colleagues here and I’m looking forward to more partnerships and collaborations,” Babatunde Saheed also known as Role Model stated.
A versatile and talented broadcaster with vast experience in Yoruba broadcasting added that “Success FM 105.3, the new radio station is established as Nigeria’s frontline station for news, opinion, analysis and premium entertainment with strong focus on sports reporting.”
He shared his excitement about this milestone via his social media handle, stating, “I’m delighted to announce my new Managerial role at the Success FM. This signifies a new phase in my broadcasting career, having recorded more than 20 years of unblemished presentation on air and I am profoundly thankful to the board of Success FM for entrusting me with this significant responsibility.
