The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye Ayobami, has extended his profound congratulations to Mr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe on his resounding re-election as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest Zonal Chairman, as well as to all newly elected executive members, following the party’s seamlessly conducted and remarkably successful zonal congress.

Held at the iconic Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, the congress served as a glowing testament to the PDP’s enduring strength, internal cohesion, and unwavering commitment to democratic excellence. The event drew together some of the region’s most influential political figures, including the host Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State; revered statesman Chief Bode George; and a constellation of other party stalwarts.

Hon. Akinleye delivered glowing commendations to Governor Seyi Makinde for his exceptional leadership acumen and unifying vision, which were instrumental in orchestrating a congress that was not only transparent and orderly but also deeply inspiring. He described Governor Makinde’s role as the embodiment of progressive governance and statesmanship, whose steady hands continue to steer the PDP toward greater heights in the region and beyond.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Akinleye also saluted the re-elected Zonal Women Leader, ALHAJA Mujidat Abosede Adedibu, and Mrs. Mosunmola Oluwakemi Bello, who was returned as National Ex-Officio Member. He lauded their continued leadership as a clear endorsement of their sterling qualities, time-tested dedication, and the unshakeable trust the party places in their service.

Reflecting on the overall success of the congress, Hon. Akinleye emphasized the importance of building on this momentum by deepening the party’s grassroots connections, fostering inclusivity, and crafting strategic pathways to future electoral victories.

The peaceful and visionary execution of this congress is a moment of pride for every loyal PDP member. It is a shining example of what purposeful leadership, unity of purpose, and unwavering dedication to democratic ideals can achieve. I wholeheartedly congratulate all elected executives and urge them to lead with boldness, clarity, and an unrelenting passion for progress.
