Makinde Re-appoints Owoseni, Awakan,Others as Advisers

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has re-appointed Mr Fatai Owoseni as Special Adviser on Security matters.

Makinde announced the re-appointment on Thursday.

Owoseni is a former commissioner of police in Lagos state.

Makinde, in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, also announced the re-appointment of a former chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo State chapter, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, as Special Adviser on Labour matters.

The Governor also announced the re-appointment of a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, Mr. Segun Adegoke, as the Special Adviser on Homeland Security.

He equally announced the appointment of the immediate past Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, Chief Bayo Lawal, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.

Other appointments approved by the Governor include: Mr. Olatilewa Folami – Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA), Mr. Elias Adeojo- Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State and Mr. Olufemi Awakan- Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.

The Governor explained that he has approved the appointment of Dr. Debo Akande as Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

Makinde charged the new appointees to see their appointments as a further call to service.

The governor in the letter also announced the re-appointment of a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, Mr. Segun Adegoke, as the Special Adviser on Homeland Security.

The governor in the letter made available to journalists through his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju also announced the appointment of the immediate past Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, Chief Bayo Lawal, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.

Other appointments approved by the governor included
Mr. Olatilewa Folami who has been appointed as Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA), Mr. Elias Adeojo who has been appointed as Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State and Mr. Olufemi Awakan who has been appointed as Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.

The governor while speaking further, explained that he has approved the appointment of Dr. Debo Akande as Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

Makinde in the statement charged the new appointees to see their appointments as further call to service.

He enjoined the appointees to discharge their duties with dedication and absolute loyalty to the state.

Makinde concluded that the appointments are with immediate effect.
