Controversial street singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has unveiled a new makeover while giving himself several lofty titles.
The singer, who shared photos of himself in a white and green outfit on Instagram, described himself as “Mr Nigeria, Tony Montana of London, Ika of Africa, Emergency Musician, and Awolumate of America.”
In his post, Portable also boasted about possessing multiple Canadian visas, stressing that music is his only source of livelihood.
This is not the first time the “Zazu Zeh” crooner has made bold claims. Just weeks ago, he called out Big Brother Naija organisers for not inviting him to the reality show, arguing that his presence would have spiced up the house.
The self-styled street king, who bagged Artist of the Year in 2023, had also declared himself the “new Fela.” He often attributes his success to God, insisting that his critics only seek his downfall.
Portable has repeatedly bragged about his growing music achievements on streaming platforms while throwing subtle jabs at unnamed rivals, saying true success speaks for itself without begging for downloads.
Last year, the singer secured a 10-year Canadian work permit, which he proudly displayed, expressing excitement about performing in the country for the next decade. He was later honoured with the City of Brampton Award in Canada.
Rising to fame in December 2021 with his breakout hit “Zazu Zeh,” featuring Olamide and dancer Poco Lee, Portable has since remained a controversial but unmissable figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
