This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Senator Alli described the death of the respected cleric as a painful loss to the Ummah and the state at large.

“Alhaji Tirimisiyu Akewusola Badmus was a man of deep faith, whose leadership and guidance brought solace and unity to many.

“His sermons and wise counsel inspired countless faithful and his legacy will continue to resonate for generations to come,” Alli said.

The lawmaker prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late cleric, accept his return and grant him eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus.

He also prayed that Allah grants his family, followers and the Muslim community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May his memory remain a source of inspiration to all of us and may his soul rest in perfect peace,” Alli added.
